Access: Excellent road access, with a short walk or swim to get to the end of the point.

Weather / Sea conditions: Exposed to the northeast, east and south, although sheltered from the southeast

Visibility: Between 2 and 10 metres, usually about 5 metres. Has been dived with up to 15 metres on the right day.

Description: Karitane has a great little reef extending off the point with abundant fish life. A small peninsula protects dive and snorkel sites from the north.

Depth: Max 15 metres
